Confirm, O Lord, your servant

The Bishop of Richborough will be visiting our parish for Confirmation on Sunday 20 October at the 11am High Mass, when he will also celebrate and preach. We look forward to welcoming him.

Confirmation is a Sacrament which is part of our growth in Christ. Confirmation is built on the foundation of our Baptism, which is our beginning in the Christian faith and the moment at which we joined the Church. In Confirmation, we are sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit for the mature living of our new life in Christ.

Anyone who has been baptised should be confirmed. If you have not yet been confirmed, what about it this October? Children in Year 6 and above may be prepared for Confirmation, as well as adults of any age. There’ll be some preparation sessions in the autumn, at convenient times. We already have a couple of people who are interested, so don’t be shy! Speak to Fr Richard if you’d like to be confirmed, or if you’d just like to know more.
